Basically a bunch of nutjobs that are too cheap/lazy to run R comps are revolutionizing autocross one event at a time with a street tire index. :P

Man I wish I still had some tires for the speed3.

http://www.nationalstreettirechallenge.com/

What? Prizes?

"There are over $12,000 in prizes to be awarded at the four events. The prizes are detailed on the "prizes" tab, and include: Bridgestone Tire certificates, Tire Rack gift certificates, Optima Battery certificates, SPS product certificates and sets of Bridgestone RE-11s. Coverage of the events will be provided by Grassroots Motorsports, and all tire certificates will be fulfilled by the Tire Rack. Shell will be on-site providing high performance fuels and motor oils in Dallas and in Milwaukee."

Maybe I should buy some tires. I need some anyway.

Well, I don't think there is any risk of seeing a ES Miata there. No decent tire selection for a 14" wheel.

I'm sure Seanan can attest to how bad 195/60-14 Azenis suck to autocross with. It's pretty awful.

Me...?

If so, BSP right now. Stick some 245s on it and get a non-max-boost-raising tune and I'm good for STU.

I've been too lazy to get the tune and I have some 245/40/17s mounted on gold BBS in my parents' shed.
