In addition to Volkswagen, I've started working with Keisler part time. So, one shameless plug--come to us! We can do just about anything.

Just FYI, but I called Matlock Tire to get an alignment today and John Dupree is no longer working there. I guess we'll see how the other guys stack up, but I was a bit disappointed as John had done my last 3 alignments to my spec. Matlock isn't cheap, so I go there just for John. =/

EDIT: Sent an e-mail to Keisler to see if he has time for an alignment this afternoon. Thanks for the recommendations posted above.

Can any of you Beamer guys do the "battery reset" on a Mini? A co-worker of Jess's has Grayson trying to charge her almost $600 for a battery and over half that is the "reset".

Try Robert @ Kadunza on Middlebrook, (865) 246-6569

He has ISTA, might work for Mini.

Re: Best shops for services (Alignment, Tire Mounting, etc.) DYNO TUNING?

I did not see any recommendations on dyno tuning services in this thread. A search of the entire forum came back with outdated recommendations (from three or more years ago). I need to have a Honda Civic (fully built, NA, high compression, SOHC) with Hondata s300 dyno-tuned to adjust the fuel maps. I recently had the fuel injectors refurbished by Marren Injectors so I imagine some fuel will need to be pulled from the tune.

I live in Cumberland Gap (TN/VA/KY tri-state area) and don't want to go more than three hours away, unless the shop is worth the trip. I have read here that people recommended Fastech Motorsports in Louisville, TN and High Velocity Motorsports in Powell, but do not recommend Knoxville Performance.

What is the current state of dyno services in the area?

Thanks.

Looking for someone to do brakes on my civic. I've got all the parts.

Advance game me the wrong shoes for the rear drums and I already had it apart before I realized they were about an inch too big. I got it back together, but I don't have the will to go through that again.

Need:

Replace front rotors
Replace front pads
Replace rear shoes
Bleed system

I went ahead and slid the new drums on in the rear

I have the magic tool for dealing with drum brakes if you want to bring it over to the house sometime next week.

Recommended Shops in the Halls/Powell area?
Current needs: Tire dismounting/recycling, mounting/balancing, alignments. Is Keisler doing alignments at another place?
Future needs: Hondata FlashPro tuning. Gernby from s2ki seems to be too busy or out of the game now. Willing to drive a bit for this.
I could go to any tire shop but I'd rather do business and build rapport with SCCA friendly entities or individuals doing it on the side.
