Pellissppi 6/3 - Nice job Will!

Post by MARKP »

Thanks for a great event today, Will, especially the weather.

Seriously, I thought the course turned out great and it was lots of fun. 6 runs and out at a decent hour!

Was a fast/fun course.. just wish my last two runs would've come during the first three - gonna have to get used to having grip again - those 48.3's gave me 'the shakes' as I crawled out of the car.

Well run event! 6 runs, 64 drivers, AND handing out awards by 4! Oh, yeah, I suppose I got my exercise in today, too.

I really need to up my driving game. 0.5 second separated the top 3 in STM, with me in 4th over 3 seconds behind Austin. :|

Anyone post up a video of their runs?

I was watching the live results from PA and Kim was calling, giving me updates but I'd like to see how the course looked.

was that a good turnout for the site? Thanks to all that made Kim feel welcome and helped her out thru the day. I was Happy that someone was able to ride along and keep her on track at first, as I know she appreciated it.

Best event I've attended and none were bad, I appreciated the aggressive start gate 1st heat, my team at corner 2 were responsible for two cars at once - we loved it!
Driving the course was the greatist and with a skid out and a "idiot wheres your helmen?, oh thats what that is bouncing in the floor" run, I needed 6 LoL. Two videos on u tube and fb, seandrives4fun and sean mcdonald

Way awsome!
Its just not right that my "Abby" got a 2nd place shirt with out me, Thanks Bob!

I stopped by for about an hour and road with Coatney for two runs - man that miata is fast! It helps that he's a good driver, but holy hell it seemed quick from the passenger seat.

It was nice to attend an event for once. I'll probably co-drive an event soon. The camaro is not running at the moment.

Well run event everyone! Great job Will. I loved the course (but still hated the skidpad :P ).

With Mike and Jim really taking the bull by the horns on timing, it has eased lots of pressure for Disney who was sometimes working two shifts. I feel like that by the end of the year we are going to have a very deep team of core people that can run an event from setup to teardown.

About the course....I couldn't stay off the cones. Oh how I would have liked to had that 51.3 (whcih if my cheater PAX calculations are accurate would have only put me behind Carpenter). I also tore my bumper skin hitting a cone. I knoew this was a possibility from some folks on nasioc who had done similar. I guess the great stuff in there was not the solution.

With the course going through the farthest set of islands, it really opens up some opportuinities for some national style elements.

Thanks for the great event guys, really enjoyed it! Although I'm starting to think Pellissippi State is cursed for me, every time I work there I have to push a stalled car off course

It was cool to try out my new GoPro, except that I see how much I need to improve hah.

 good event Will. I enjoyed it, my RF tire, not so much

It was pretty cool seeing Trey's Mini come up the hill and turn left towards the skid pad, which picked up the LR Wheel, and it didn't hit the pavement again until the 2nd cone of the slolom out of the skidpad.
