Sorry, I had been giving directions based upon 55yrs of experience and memory; not google or mapquest maps. Zoo Drive gets you to the Zoo but that is on the wrong side of Chilhowee Park and I dont know if you can get from one side to the other. You would be better off with either the Cherry Street exit as described before or the Rutledge Pike exit, both of which take you directly to Magnolia Avenue. If you put in "zoo" to mapquest you even get a diagram of the track area on the south side of Magnolia.
Please understand that this is a very diverse and challenging neighborhood and you should not be wandering around at any time of the day. I am merely trying to get you there in the shortest possible distance, exposure and safety. I cant really say more on a public forum but if you want to learn more, send me an IM.

Or do we paddock between N. Beaman St. and the lot the course is on? along where the pavilion looking building is, etc, entering the site from N. Beaman st. on the South side of Magnolia? Just trying to limit the amount of time folks be seein us rollin to the event.

on an unrelated note... mmmmmmmmmm pizza palace one block away. :eating:

I thought I had put this somewhere, but I guess not. Here's the site layout and Saturday's course. I'll put this in the first post.

Officially in now. 'Car made it back from Road Atlanta mechanically intact and shiny-side-up. :)

So do we enter into chilhowee on the north or south side?

enter off Magnolia to paddock, and make your way to grid through the tunnel?

The grey squared in the right side. What are these? Grass? Curb?

Looks like just grass without a curb. Some very small threes and a pole in the center of the top grey square

Grass with no curb. There are some trees off the course in the grass. They are tiny trees, and the offsets are going to be arranged in a manner that will allow for the most margin in case some one runs out of talent.

This may have been covered, but what is the deal with leaving cars overnight?

At your own risk, although the site will be locked. They could be parked under the tunnel.

any time I goto the zoo side of Chilhowee, I enter from Lakeside St. by the building with the orange roll up doors across from Hampton Ave. That gate is open most often and straight shot across the hump by the circle to the lot. The gate from N. Beaman St. would make for a nice zig zag in if it's open.

Too close to Magnolia. My shiny chrome ghetto wheels wouldn't survive the overnight, I'm afraid.

Would anyone be interested in splitting the cost of a hotel room Sat night? I don't mind bringing a sleeping bag and sleeping on the floor. I'm planning on coming up from Murfreesboro for both days. Text me at 931-580-7036.
