I thought "E36 M3" was a way to cuss like a sailor on a car forum to get around the web page censorship :?:

If I get another street legal vette, it will stay within the rules of SS. When me and Eric ran ASP (now SSP), we were so underprepped for the class. Now to decide on a C5Z or a C6 Z51. :?:

This thread has gone insane....

Since I'm new to the classing structure @ ETR... I'll ask the stupid question.

Is the stock classes there same as national events, meaning you can run R-comps ? I think I remember you guys having a tire index class for stock class/SP/P cars as well.

I noticed when I ran there earlier in the year that you have a PRO class that runs based on PAX so I'm just asking.

Here in my current region when I got the C5Z I was the sole SS driver. In 2 years we had 4-5 drivers and now we have 11. two C5Zs, one C6Z, one GS, a C6Vert and a 996 GT3.

Hope to see the new car there prepped and ready for action soon.
Time to hop on corvetteforum and get some extra wheels. :)

You can run R's in a regular class, you can run street tires in the Tire Index, or you can run R's or street tires in PRO and compete on PAX (first 3 runs only).

I can't recall if there is talk of mimicing the RT ish (and ditching tire for non-stock) that we are doing at nats.

Ok, gotcha.

We run similarly here @ SCR, but with our classing, there's no Pro class here. We have Driver of the Year based on PAX, so our PAX standings matter as much as class standings.

Our street tire index has an additional multiplier for that reason so that fast drivers that can't afford ( or don't like to run ) R-comps can still realistically vie for DOY points.

Anyway... sorry to get off topic.

I'm hoping to make it down before the end of your season and run my car with you all.
