I was going to approach you, Don, about arranging such a deal for ETR and this one is a double whammy on my birthday and the Superbowl but now I have another reason to work on the SpecMiata.

Unfortunately, this one is too early in the season for me. My cars are currently in pieces. One of them doesn't even have paint on it. Any chance of doing another one in late spring?

I emailed Tiffany asking for a time slot and have not heard back. Early is better for me but I will defer to JB as to priority. I mainly want to do exhaust testing so I will need time to swap out pipes. It hurts just thinking about it. I might try to save time by driving the SM on the backroads to the dyno but if it is real cold, I'll have to drag the trailer since I dont have a heater or drivers side window.

John,

Just curious, what did the valve timing change do to your bottom end torque? And do you really care?

My max torque went from 5200 rpm's to 6700 rpm's.But it's a flat plain from 4700 to 6700 now, where it did peak and fall before. Before my hp was still going up...but the torque was falling off. Now the torque and the hp start to fall almost at the same time, about 7200 rpm.
Who knows how it will dyno on the "seat-o-the pants" dyno......
