Cars & Coffee April 27

Post by thrdeye »

UPDATE 04/11:

Chatted with a very nice fellow from Harper's today. We have a spot for our van/trailer and several cars.

If you'd like to be part of the display, be committed to getting there at 7 and staying for the entire event (or at least until traffic dies down). We can have at least 6 cars, but if you get there early enough, I'm sure we can get you into the vicinity of the display.

You also MUST to have a car that has a set of magnets or vinyl. Also, try to wash them up (unless rally car).

This event is RAIN or SHINE. I'm taking the rig no matter what.

Cars so far:

JB's Miata
JY's Mustang
Ryan's E30
Ted's Scirocco

Non-SCCA:
GEO
Contour
NSX

Anyone have any contacts with Harper to get us a decent "paddock" area to setup some race cars (fully stickered up) and a tent? If not, I'll reach out to them.

Let's think about what we can do to have a memorable impact and get some new recruits.

I'd like to bring the Contour out as well to fully represent the Knoxvegas Lowballers...even though really the Contour has even less to do with SCCA than the Geo :)

Depends on how much space we can get. Right now, it might be a little bit limited.

I'd like to get 3 autox cars and 3 rally cars. Good ones - and a good variety. A fully developed car, a bone stock one, and one that's eye catching. We'll see what they say to that and I'll let everyone know.

I can drag the M3 out if you want it in full SM 24 livery (no one needs to know). It will definitely attract the fanboi crowd.
