Anyone up for a dragon run this Teusday?

Post by Mark McCrary »

I told a guy I work with about the dragon and he is going to go and I have not been in 3 years so I would like to go if it does not rain. If anyone is interested in going let me know.

I'm working Tuesday, but I went 8 days ago and it was great. It was dry and without any salt mounds or traffic. Have fun, be careful. :D

Can anyone give me some directions. I know I need to take the Alcoa exit but that is about it.

Go through Maryville to 411. Turn south on 411 for a few miles and then take 129 (left turn). 129 eventually becomes the Dragon's Tail when it starts up the mountain away from the lake.

Mark, i think there was some pretty bad ice/slush up in NC. Don't know if it hit the dragon or not, since it is mostly in TN.

Well I went up there and had a lot of fun. The road was wet but it was not raining. It has been so long since I have been there I forgot how much fun it was to drive that road.

of course you have to realize that the suspension on the '90 was set up to run that road. I cannot wait to start on the "new" '90 to do sort of the same thing. Have fun but be safe.

I really liked not having power steering. It had a really good feel on that road. I still like power steering for Autox though.
