Machine Shop for basic head work

Post by disneyd »

Can anyone recommend a machine shop in Knoxville/Maryville that is known to do good work on import heads?

I just pulled the engine on Jess's Forester, but haven't popped the heads off yet (head gaskets were leaking externally at 240k). It has never been overheated, so I don't expect to find them out of spec... but just in case I'd like to have the name of a good shop ready.

Thanks

I can check it, but if its out of spec, I'll need someone to shave it. Might have 'em cleaned up and new seals installed too.

Hitch has done well on everything I've needed in the last 7 or 8 years. They don't put much effort into organization around there, so I'm always nervous they're going to lose my stuff. So far, so good though.
