Recommend a good detail shop?

Post by disneyd »

I'm looking for a trusted shop to detail a car. By detail, I mean: wash, claybar, paint correction, wax, carpet/seat cleaning, etc. Basically, the works.

There used to be some place called Tru Shine that was always posting impressive pics on the old StreetCarForums. I didn't really know much about them and they seem to be out of business now (web site is dead and phone number goes to a generic voicemail).

Please post up any suggestions.

Chris Anderson does my GT500 and does a great job inside and out to include engine detail if you want it.

Tru Shine is Eric Witt. I was FB friends with him, but he is apparently no longer on FB as well.

I think Jeff Campbell (maybe?) from 5 Star Detailing has a good rep, but I have no personal experience.

Tru Shine is still around, but I'm not sure he does mobile detailing any more. If cost is no object, that's who I would use. His storefront/shop is somewhere off Perimeter Park Dr in Cedar Bluff.

Thanks. I might swing by there one day, but having a dead website and not answering the phone or having a business-like voicemail message doesn't inspire confidence. It did look like he did great work in the past though.

He did a friend's M3 just a couple weeks ago. The thing looked immaculate. He was very complimentary of Tim.

Dave - Did you have this done? I'm in need as well and would like to hear about your experience.

I'm pretty close, but I haven't had it done yet. I'm waiting on tires to be delivered (should be here today) and the headlamp covers to come back from the paint shop and then I'll take it to them and have them detail it inside and out. Probably in the next couple of weeks.
