Newbie has a question...

Post by 95civicmtn »

Hi I'm really wanting to get into autox this season and should have my car ready. I've read alot and feel like I know the basics but my question is, I am currently in the national guard and some race dates are the same as my drill dates including the 1st datest in march... :( do I absolutely have to be there for them or can I come on all the dates I can? Also do I need to register with the scca online or when I come to a race? Any other advice, comments, or bashing would be greatly appreciated! Haha :D

you can show for any that work for your schedule ... if you were running for a class championship, you'd have to run a min. of 6 and we count the points you score in your best 7 ...

so you can skip some along the way ...

by the way .. WELCOME ... come on out and have some fun ... and thanks for your service

As far as becoming a SCCA member. Go ahead register online. Our area is east Tennessee Region when they ask for area. You will revive a member packet that will come with a member card. This will have your member number on it that you will use to sign up for the races. Hope this helps.
