Looking for 100 octane or higher non-leaded fuel

I have heard Harley dealers usually have stuff better than standard pump gas. No personal experience.

Ted, I went to West Haven a few days ago to see if they had any AN fittings and hopefully some metric stuff. Plenty of AN fittings and all sorts of braided line, nothing for us commies in metric. I noticed the pump outside but it completely slipped my mind to ask while they were giving me a tour of their suspension shop/shock dyno.

West Haven has two different grades, one for ~10:1 to ~12:1 compression, the other for ~12:1 and above.

They were about $15 a gallon last year - they were about $5 a gallon last time I bought it (there or anywhere else, it's been a few years).

West Haven has a shock dyno?

Yeah. They do. They stock mostly Ohlins, AST, and some Bilstein stuff. They also told me they will interchange parts as well, so I am not really sure what kind of quality comes out of that place. I don't know anything about the dirt roundy round stuff so I can't speak to dudes credibility either.

There is a good bump in midrange torque with E85 from the aggressive timing you can run. You lose efficiency in terms of MPG but it's a small sacrifice in a car that sees maybe 1400 miles a year. I may have plenty now but I have a feeling once I get some sticky tires on the car I will find a reason for more power. Probably convince myself I need a 3.90 gear in the car.

No worries about ethanol wrecking your fuel system with the car sitting in between events and what not?

I have about 4 feet of rubber hose to replace with Teflon lined hose but other than that not really. My Walbro 255 is fine for my power levels and the tank doesn't have any sort of rubber based coatings. My injectors are a bit light with the stock FPR but an adjustable FPR can bump me up if needed. My ignition is still stock so I have to run a very tight plug gap already, no way I could get by with E85 on my ignition.

Yup, used to be a Weigels until it got bought out a couple of years ago. They have 100 octane and up.

Welp, found my Huckleberry.

Just called them and they said they have 5 gallons for $64, does ~$13 a gallon sound right for 100 octane fuel?

I pay $15 a gallon for C-16. $ 13 sounds steep for 100.

Maybe the lady quoted me some other type of fuel. She kept asking if what I meant was 100% gasoline. She probably deals with people calling all the time with lawn mowers and stuff. I'll just make the drive over some time this weekend to verify that price. I would save more money just buying the supporting mods for E85 now rather than paying $12 a gallon more over corn this season.
