Welcome! STM is a great catch-all class and your car would fit well in it. If you made the jump to r-comps there's a few local people that run ASP, so you wouldn't be completely alone .

What kind of exhaust do you have on your Z?
factory - it is on a list this year to have changed, along with brakes, radiator, oil cooler, coil/overs and maybe a engine trick
so have no idea where I will end up in a class, or when the changes will take place

Before you change the exhaust, please note the sound rules, especially at Pellissippi. We run 96db there due to having apartments right across the lake from where we run. We have already had complaints.

LOL, well thanks for that about the noise lever 96db, now I have to think on what to do and how to have it both ways....

Borla stuff is well under. Whatever Marcus ran is over and some variations of the Tomei stuff is over.

Any plans to switch wheels and tires? Those Z's seem to love squared 285's (or 275's) on 18x10.5's or 18x11's. Don't think you'd love 300TW stuff all that much when it's all said and done. That's probably going to make the car faster than any other single mod.
