Machine Shop for Brake Caliper Work
Machine Shop for Brake Caliper Work
I've got a stripped out bleeder screw on my right front brake caliper. I've ordered a new set of calipers, but I'd like to rebuild the old ones if possible to use as spares in the future. Anyone know of a machine shop that can fit the bill and re-tap the hole? FYI these are Brembo calipers off a 996 Twin Turbo, not anything GM related if that makes a difference.

I did my own once - but mine was actually where the banjo bolt went into the caliper. You just have to find the right helicoil.

What is the thread pitch and size? I have the ability to do it, assuming you are ok with it being drilled taped and helicoiled.

Don't care so long as they don't leak. I'll let you know when I pull the calipers off the car.

Eric, its a M10 1.0. Im ok with it being drilled taped and helicoiled. Can you do it with the caliper still on the car? Thanks man.eunos735 wrote:What is the thread pitch and size? I have the ability to do it, assuming you are ok with it being drilled taped and helicoiled.
