SOLD!!! Former National Champ RallyCrosser

Post by dirtfarmer »

1991 Isuzu Impulse RS. 1.6L turbo, awd (fixed split-70% rear, 30 front), welded rear diff,5 spd, clutch not new but still in good shape. Interior removed (still have it), Rivergate Racing-built roll bar and triangulated hatch cross bracing and rear strut bracing. Full aluminum skid/glide plate (from radiator core support to floor of unibody), KYB struts, stock engine, turbo, efi, etc. Race harness but out of date.

Spares: used- longblock, turbo and "downpipe", transmission w/out center diff, rear driveshaft, rear diff (not welded), 14" alloys with Silverstone rally tires (70%), 15" alloys w/Michelin rally tires (25%-good for hardpack), 15" stock alloys w/street tires.

I have quite a few little odds and ends (Sparco race seat, dead pedal, etc.) that goes with it. Factory service manual (excellent resource btw).

This weapon and I won approx. 50 RallyCrosses including every National Challenge entered (4). There used to be six held every year, culminating with THE National Challenge, aka 2006 National Championship.

Car has been sitting in barn for several years and needs love . We are moving (job relocation). I think the package is worth several thousand dollars, but I will take $1,000.

No. Life got in my way w/50-72 hrs. a week at work for the past five years. Yellowhammer from Huntsville kept it for a year a while back, but it hasn't thumped any Subies in several years. Needs some attention and a wash.

The trailer is a great lightweight 2 axle. Added surge brakes to the back axle. Tires are 90% or better and real trailer tires, not car tires. I will sell it for $500. Once again probably worth a lot more, but its time for it to go. So that's just $1500 for a killer RX package with history and a National Championship!

Btw, I was the SEDiv RallyCross steward for several years.

Thanks for the interest. I sure do hope I can find my buddy a new home!
