Hoosier tires cheap

Post by ConeEater »

I have a bunch of a6 tires that I can no longer use, so if anyone is looking for Corvette sized tires they can be had cheap.

Have to get exact numbers, but I have a bunch of.
315/30 - 18
335/30-18

None are new and have been in a non heated garage. That they are a6 tires tells you that they are older. Not good to be at the pointy end of the class, but if you want local events or tnts or even fitment then therse are great.
Looking to thin the herd

If I don't get any takers, v they are going to tire barn for recycling

Would you trust these to run HPDE weekends with? Don't care about times just want something reasonably grippy that will last some 20-30min sessions.

A6 and A7 will get too hot really quick, IMO. In 1-2 laps.

Depends on the car and setup. Some of the guys that run T1 run A7s from what I hear.

They are pretty old. As I said... They've been kept in an unheated garage for many Winters and I'm not sure I'd tell someone it's ok.
I'd use them for my own car, but not trust them on some one else's

DOT date codes (last four) could help the evaluation.
A7's are in fact being used road racing 8)

No problem. They are big and only a few people here can use them.
Guess they're getting recycled this weekend.

Sorry Randy, didn't see this until just now. They are gone to the great tire fire in the sky. Was away from my phone all day and was just posting to end the thread.
