Hiring for Endoscope Repair Tech

Post by Buck05Sti »

Since there was some interest, i figured it be easiest to answer questions in here and post up a general job description for what we're looking for.

Job: Assist in final repair of endoscopes. This inclues tieing bending sheaths, setting angulation, final QC etc.

Hours: 9:30-6pm M-F

Pay/Benefits: Starting pay is $10/hr, with .25c raises quarterly for the first two years. Evaluations are quarterly for hourly employees and the minimum raise is .25. If someone shows exceptional skill, the raise could potentially be higher. Vacation, Health/Medical/Dental insurance and retirement are available after a 90day probationary period.

Skills: No special education or skills are required, but fine motor skills, soft soldering/braising experience, and microscope are a plus. Basic understanding of how to use a microscope is important because the vast majority of our work is extremely small and done under a microscope. If your resume looks good enough to bring you in for an interview, you will also be given what is called a "skills test." This helps us to determine where your fine motor skills are and potential for success in the job.

We work in a fast-paced but very relaxed atmosphere. Scrubs are provided but not required to be worn. T-shirt and jeans are totally fine. That being said, this is very much a "shop" environment. If foul language, etc offend you, itd be best to look elsewhere. Personality is a major factor in who we hire due to us being so small and close-quarters. If you feel you may be a little short on skills, dont hesitate to send a resume, this job is completely OJT.

Please submit resume and minimum 2-personal and 2-professional references to me here or at ryan@townsendsurgical.com
