There was a meeting yesterday I think ( virtual one ) about this place... anyone attend or hear anything? I know it wasn't about decisions, it was just discussion but was curious.

More news... too bad they don't mention SCCA in the presentation.

Just that it is suppose to be in the next phase which is the developer giving the final plans/request on what they want to build.

Oak Ridge City Council voted YES (6-1) late this afternoon to sell the property to Bittle and partners for Oak Ridge Motorsports Park development. Time to move some earth.

This possible site has a LOT of people outside of the region interested. I was at the SARRC event this past weekend and when I mentioned i was from Knoxville, I had a number of people ask me about this and if it was for real.

Some were from Florida and said if it's as nice as it looks on paper, they will be making the trip if/when it happens.

Saw on Facebook that they are looking for people that support this track project to email the person @ the DOE to express our support.

Katatra.Vasquez@science.doe.gov

This person is out of the office at this time, but it will be good to flood them with emails of support when they come back.
