East Tennessee Region SCCA

My wife showed me an ad for "The Motorsport Lab" which is apparently doing an 'autocross' experience with Ferraris and other exotics on June 3 ($80 for 3 runs).

Not sure if we could put a good course together there, but is it worth investigating since they apparently aren't afraid to have an autocross there.

well... they prolly know its gonna be SLOWASFUK anyway...

I think it would be worth looking into. We've got all our eggs in two baskets these days.

I don't have any contacts over there, but I think Mark has spoken to them before (or at least the Harper folks). I agree on needing more sites. I'll try and remember to bring this up at tonight's meeting.

I spoke to the Harper guy. He was very unenthusiastic and said the mall was too.

I intend to go by there and see what this group isdoing. I don't have any intention on making my presence known or participating. These guys have a bad reputation at other facilities.

All in favor of blowing this whole idea off just go on never think about again.The mall has operating hours and we do not go there to race.Sorta like us asking to use a slow part of the interstate for a day.

Yeah, I miss the Dogwood Grand Prix, even though there was usually carnage of some sort.

yup.. will never lose the visual of that Mazda RX7 hitting the guardrail nose first right at my corner station...
