Noticed it driving by last weekend. Didn't look huge but perhaps big enough to use? Pavement had some grass in spots but I didn't see close enough to tell beyond that.

A little better view. Definitely looks big enough.

Can you get us a contact number?

It sort of looked abandoned. I should be back down there this weekend. I'll see if there are any signs or phone numbers around.

I was up there a while back and looked at it. It would be a little William-Blountish on tires but probably workable.

If you go to Pope Rd, there is a guard shack there and they have contact information on who is in charge of the lot. I can't remember who it is but I'm pretty sure it isn't FedEx. The guard was pretty helpful but that was a while ago and I have lost the information.

"Buildings for Lease or sale call 865-306-3848"

That was on a big sign to the side of the fence. Looked a little closer at the lot. It definitely has some "obstacles" in the pavement, but I think it's workable.

There is the whole loading dock area along the top side of the building. It's not ideal for paddock/grid but it would be usable. It's all abandoned/unused so I don't think it would be a problem to use other parts of the lot. But of course, we need to get 'in the door' first.

I think you and Chris are best informed on site acquisition to make the call, please do.

It is probably available. I talked with the owner, Aaron Zignelnik who builds metal buildings as his primary business. Very nice guy.

I explained what we do and how often. I mentioned what we pay PSCC and he didn't balk. I also talked about us needing restrooms, either in the building or port-a-poties. I suggested that we might want his lot three times next year. We also talked insurance.

Appears that the next step is to visit the property with him. An experience course designer and and another person should probably represent us.

His cell number is the one shown above - 306-3848

Awesome! Thanks for making the call Scott. I'm in that area almost every weekend if I can be of any help to acquire this.

Very excited for a site closer to home for us. Especially if it's smooth enough for karts. I'll help any way I can, but I don't have experience with site acquisition.

Thanks for the effort.

bump on this one. Need a a course designer (JB/RC/MP) and an SSS to volunteer to take a little road trip. Coordinate with Scott Gibson so contact can be made with the lot owner to get in to look at the pavements.

This is the one I was thinking of. I have been there and it looks workable from the street. There is a chain link fence around it.
