Unused lot at Grindstaff Kia

I work here at Grindstaff in Johnson City, and was talking with my GM today and asked him if we could host something here. We have about 13 acres we don't use other then maybe a car show every now and then. It's pretty level, smooth pavement. I came to watch you guys race a few years ago and was gonna join up, but the car I was going to use was totaled in a crash, but I saw how big of a lot you needed at Bristol. Sounds like our GM would be all about hosting an event or two for you guys if you would like. Let me know your thoughts about it.

My name is Greg, by the way, and one of these days I'll get into racing again. I work here at Kia for a year now, married, and a 2 year old daughter. The time I came to watch everyone race, I enjoyed talking with a few of you, who were very helpful.

I can also keep my eye out for any cars you guys are looking for since I come across all kinds every day, especially our wholesellers.

I'm working on something that can run on the green stuff. I don't think he means Winged Deer park across the road. It would never be the same.

I will take a guess he means the part of the parking lot that doesn't have any cars parked on it.

Measured on google earth, it's about 200x400. About 80k sq ft. About 2 acres. Maybe we are looking at the wrong thing. Where is the 13 acres? :D

If this is the place, there's LOTS of poles. Looks like 1 island. And possible close proximity to retail cars. Not sure this will workout. Can anyone take a look at it?

I go by there pretty frequently visiting my parents. As I recall, there are a ton of poles. I'll be going by in a few weeks for x-mas and can get some ground shots.

Acreage wise I'm going by what my GM said... looking at it we do not use about 6 and that gives you plenty of room away from cars. From the A in that pic, that is our building. SE of our building in the back right corner is what I am talking about. Less poles to deal with and flatter pavement. Room enough to hit around 40-50mph depending on the car with time to slow down. I can take some ground pics and email them to someone to check out and post if you want? Leave me an email and I'll do that right now.

When I take the pics right now, don't mind the Chevy trucks, they are moving their lot around and parked them in our lot. Might give you an idea on space. I'll take some now and some when they move. If anyone come down, ask for me when you get here and we'll go look.

I'm sorry, I'm trying not to be an idiot, but I don't see an email link anywhere. Unless you mean PM link? I'd post them on here, but I don't have a place I can link from for pics at the moment.

Here they are. I don't think this will work. The poles are too close together. Any other opinions?
