Tirerack says they are on back order and they have no idea when they will get more. Robert, any ideas?

Your only other shot is Vilven tire. I don't have their number but you might be able to find it on the internet. You might try looking for used ones on SCCAForums.com.

Some guy has some 225/45/17 V700's brand new for $450 shipped on SCCAforum. That's all I could come up with so far.

Although that was the original plan....I don't think they would fit properly.

On the rear of the car, I cannot get my finger between the tire and the strut and thats with 225s

Heck - I may have to run a spacer to get the 245's on.

I don't think you'll find any new ones, Kumho is too busy making tires that make red smoke.

I was waiting for that size and checking TireRack every couple of days. I called TireRack on a Monday to get on a waiting list and the sales associate told me they knew nothing of that size. I checked their website that Wednesday, saw a few the new V710 sizes listed as "In Stock" and ordered mine. I checked the website again that Friday and they were already "sold out."

What you need is a set of 18x10.5 SSR's and some 285/30/18 V710's. :P

Hmmm, just to throw this off-topic, I test fitted my rear 17x11 wheels on the FRONT Sunday after the autox. When used with a pinky finger width spacer, 315's on all four corners will work.

Hmmmmm, and just in time to replace the race tires.

Let me know when you get the 275s dismounted from the wheels. I'll see if I can put one on one of my wheels and test fit it.

I figure if R.Darnell in Nashville can run 335's on all four, I'll let the 315 rub themselves a new home.

Hey chris, I'd like to test fit one of your wheels sometime, just to see if they clear the strut. If you're up for it, I can stop by sometime or just try it at the next event.

Well, I'm feelin about as bummed as Chris is........... 315/35/17 V710's are on back order now as well. Good grief.......

Chris you could use/try those AVON TECH R tires in that size that you mentioned you wanted. One of the EVO guys runs them and seems to like them.

Tony, I could a told ya the 315's would fit. but then, I aint trying to make ya go faster :P  you need to get the Tech R's. actually.. a 315 drag radial would be the trick for ya. you'd hook up better than anyone out there

and Chris, you know how hard it is to make a longitudinal W8 fit in transverse?? I can only take a sledgehamer to the firewall so much and claim crash damage.. hehehe time to go back out and bang some more.....
