WTB - WRX parts

Post by gbwrx »

I am needing a few WRX parts (2002). Long shot but thought I would try here.

Need a plaistic splash guard. Also, need the battery tie down parts. And, Radiator cap.

Also, kinda looking for used downpipe, 17" wheels, and some coilovers.

It's mostly a DD. But, yeah...some STX mods here and there. Not gonna go crazy with this car at all.

Says practically every car guy just after getting a new car and just before picking up a new credit card.

You looking for an aftermarket DP...? Catted , I take it...?

I have a friend that probably has his 17" wheels off his 2.5RS. I can keep a eye out for the other stuff.

I think there are only a few downpipes that will work without throwing a CEL.

contact Ryan Moore @ mooreperformance & race parts.

He might have some parts lying around his shop or his garage. He specializes in Scoobs and if he doesn't have something right now he should be able to find it. Tell him I sent you.

https://mooreperformanceparts.com/Home_Page.html

hope he can help you. If he DOES have something and you're not in a hurry for it I'll be in the knoxville area the 1st weekend in November and can bring it down with me.

I forgot about that stupid CEL issue. I got out of STX way back in the day when that wasn't an issue.

Yikes, I'll email you.

Marcus, would possibly be interested in the wheels if they are 17x8's.

The way I understand it, the CEL is not an issue anymore. From the rulebook:

14.10 ENGINE AND DRIVETRAIN
F. The engine management system parameters and operation may be
modified only via the methods listed below. These allowances also
apply to forced induction cars, except that no changes to standard
boost levels, intercoolers, or boost controls are permitted. Boost
changes indirectly resulting from allowed modifications are permissible,
but directly altering or modifying the boost or turbo controls,
either mechanically or electronically, is strictly prohibited. Traction
control parameters may not be altered. Any standard OBD communications
port functionality must remain. The Check Engine Light
(CEL) or Malfunction Indicator Light (MIL) may be disabled via software.

Alternate software maps which violate these restrictions may
not be present during competition, regardless of activation

They might be, I can't remember. Ask Dan (Y_I_K_E_S).

The RS wheels were 16x6.5... tiny. They went with the RS. :(

The only spares I have lying around now are some scratched up KMS 18x7s that I can't get rid of to save my life.
