24 Hours of Lemons

Post by budjrfan »

Halfast Racing is back at it again this year........hope to see you knuckle heads out there

Blog from winners Hong Norrth B
Lemons South Fall 2012

Day 2 was scheduled to start at 9 am. I get in the car, ready to go and about 10 laps in, I could tell that I was really in the groove. Osgood was in the 38 car in the lead, and I paced him running pretty hard for 1 hour 45 minutes until quiet hour. I had a 5-7 lap battle with the #158 black Impala, Halfast Racing. This was the most fun I have ever had in a race car. The battle was back and forth, clean, and respectful. I ended up setting the fastest two laps of the race in the process as a bonus. LeMons racing at its best.

When I raced with them, they broke a lot. But we got one good lap together. Coming of of the last turn onto the front straight, they left two faint stripes all the way to the braking zone for T1.

Bigass turbo +V8.

Maybe they got it worked out?

Well, they finished WAY down the order, so I suspect some breakage was still involved, lol.

Turbo + LeMons car = usually doesn't end well.

I talked to them last year - they had so much weight in the front that on braking, it would pull the rear wheels off the ground! I think they added like 600 lbs to the rear to keep it stable under braking!
