I don't know about the 1/4 but my Miata has ran a 7.62 at 92mph in the 1/8th with a 1.76 60' at U.S. 43 Dragway.

EDIT:
Just found an online converter that shows that to be in the 11.80-11.90 range. Which for a 2060lb car with over 300rwhp sounds about right.

There is no way John's car would run 13's.

John, how do you do against the CRX's at a Pro launch? They are low 15 second cars.

This is what I was thinking as well.

Only one way to find out for sure. Who wants to go to Beech Bend? I hope to make a trip out there sometime this year with the Lightning.

I do believe that a CSP Miata could probably eek 13's.

Yeah, I was sitting in my car waiting to go to the start line when JB came screaming toward the finish and pointing in the same direction as I was sitting, I was hoping it would stick because if it didn't we would have been picking red miata out of a blue shelby for a long time. It was a very fast finish, but after the first run you could just about hold it wide open thru the last two corners heading to the finish. On all of JB's runs the passenger side front wheel was never on the ground after the last right hander heading to the finish. It didn't walk very good, but it did drive way better than I expected. Overall a fun course.
