Hello, SCCA people!
I am a lurker but I feel it is time for me to post up a question for tomorrow's event.
I am currently a non-SCCA member, but I wish to get my feet wet in the autocrossing world. I was going to pre-register, but time got the best of me and I was literally 5 minutes past the deadline when I went to sign up for it earlier today.
So first question: Can I even participate in this event despite me not being an SCCA member?
Next: Can I participate in the event even though I missed the online registration period?
Another: I don't own a helmet; are there spares that I could borrow?
Finally: I have no real idea what class my car fits into...it's got aftermarket engine mods, but no suspension mods... would a chief be able to get me figured out there? (I also don't have a number selected for my car....)
For what it's worth, I won't be upset if I can't run my car, I'd still like to come out and see what an autocross event is like; so answers either way, I'll be fine with...
Thanks guys/gals!

Re: BMS Autocross Question(s)
1. yes, its an extra $5-$10 if I recall correctly, although members/non-members may pay the same for this event since its for charity.
2. yes, its an extra $5
3. We've got loaner helmets.
4. Run Street-Tire-Modified, which is our catch-all class for anything on street tires.. or the registration folks can help guide you into the right class at registration.
5. Its not much of a spectator sport - looks lame from the outside looking in. Its actually worth the drive if you participate.

Thanks for the reply!
One more question, concerning clothing and attire:
Shorts? Pants? -- I don't want to show up with shorts if it's required to wear pants during a run of the course...
