New to AutoX Solo with questions

Post by Jankins46gp »

First, I need to know exactly which class I'll be in this year.
My car is a 1995 Honda Civic with a built b18c5 (Type R), tubular chassis from the firewall forward and a half cage. I'm currently on street tires.

Second, maybe I'm looking over it but I need to register this season. Where do I go?

Third, I want SCCA stickers for my car. Where do I get them??

I just started reading my handbook. So, still a newbie. Thanks!

Welcome! Sounds like a good candidate for STM class to me.

I've always received SCCA stickers with my membership card

Thanks for the Welcome! I'm assuming my Membership Card comes along with registration?

You have to get an annual membership to get a membership card. If you're not a member, you buy a temporary membership at the event so you're covered by the club insurance policy. The fee you pay for the temporary membership can be applied to an annual membership if you don't wait too long. You can learn more at scca.com. For solo specifically go to http://www.scca.com/solo/content.cfm?cid=44517 There's a 'join now' button in the banner. I can't remember, though, if you get some sort of instant identification when you join on line.

Welcome!

You're car definitely would fall into STM, there's other Hondas in there as well.

Become a SCCA member and you'll get the stickers, monthly magazine, and money off registration fees to all regional SCCA Solo II events.

What suspension and tires do you have?

Welcome! I hope you can make it out for our event this weekend. It sounds like you have a pretty interesting car. Something I don't think others have mentioned is if you go ahead and join SCCA, you will have a free entry available to you as well.

We have a local-only class we call STM. It allows any car as long is it's on street tires with a treadwear of 140 or higher. Based on the level of modification that it sounds like you've done, you will fit in well with that class. I don't have a clue what national SCCA class you'd fit into. When you get into partial tube chassis, that puts you into a REALLY serious class. I'm guessing E-mod or D-mod. I know there is a tube frame Civic that runs in Atlanta some that runs B-mod.
