On Saturday I paxed third overall, behind Seltzer in the FM at 35.694 and Tim Smith at 35.943 and I was at 36.045. Not to bad, but I have to keep getting better to get to where I want to be. The car is right where I want it and drives sooooooooo good.

Congrats to the class winners! Was this the most class wins for ETR on NT's?

Travel was indeed rough. We got to Valdosta at 3 AM because of my f****d up schedule and coming back was an endless traffic jam. Also got the increasing clunking noise from the front, that turned out to be loose shock upper nut, again. The noise and the nut working itself loose has to be related, but I have to look into it.

Hanging out with our region though, makes it all worth it.

MAN... I TELL YOU WHAT.. GA SERIOUSLY NEEDS TO GET WITH THE 21ST CENTURY ON TRAFFIC CONTROL.

I cane to a stop going south at 285 west.. and didn't get out of 3rd gear till Atlanta Motor Speedway. On the way back in addition to the ENTIRE traffic mess... I had a 11 mile 1st and 2nd gear section... because of a stupid rear ender ... ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE INTERSTATE !!! seriously... It would completely change my decision to go anywhere south of Atlanta again.. until that shit is fixed.. (however it is you fix STUPID) :?

Roads were really rough and even worse when towing a big rig with two cars on it. I agree with JB GA. needs to take some lottery money and fix the damn roads.

No! That lottery money is dedicated to making sure that slightly above average students from middle class families can go to State U for free!

Congrats to the local winners.

BIG thanks to JC for letting me borrow the ramps to get the Grand Sport up on the trailer. Dan and I ran out to get lunch before 4th heat was over so we could get back to watch 5th. Kim was updating us on things as they unfolded.

JC / Mark... need to get some phone #s from you. I wanted to warn you of the coming rain since we were northwest of Adel @ lunch and got pounded with rain. Felt bad we weren't there to help.

After lunch we started driving back to Knoxville after hearing the news. Didn't know about the SEC tounry.... that was a mess and like John said about the rubber-neckers for MILES... that's BS.

Got to Kim's a little after 10. Back on the road by 7:30 and back to PA by 4:30.... didn't get to my house until 7 by the time all was said and done.

Still had a blast and it was great seeing everyone.

If everything seems under control, you're not going fast enough.

And I was once told something similar by Jeff Carlin, a pretty good Formula Ford driver at the National level, that if you weren't scaring yourself several times a lap, you weren't trying hard enough.

Having a good handling car means that you scare yourself at a higher speed than with a poor handling car.

Yeah... that's been my biggest problem with my driving since moving to the Corvette...

Fear and trust. When the car dances ( like it's supposed to ) I find myself backing down or making a stupid move that either slows me down or upsets the car and slows it down.

You can see the difference in my car control vs Dan's in the videos from the weekend. Now... that was only the 2nd time in his car and the 1st autocross I've done since October so I'm TRYING to not beat myself up too bad. We did data with the d I guess.video synced, so we will be able to see just what that tells us.

I pax'd 123rd or something like that for the weekend.... and that sucked.

Anyway... still had a blast. Even finishing low on the SSR class is still not bad.
