WTB 15x6, 4x100
WTB 15x6, 4x100
Any 15x6 rims 4x100 with 35mm offset prefered that need a new home? Needs to be Honda center bore 56.1mm or larger VW 57.1mm
stock Honda is 45mm offset and most 15" rims are 6.5" wide and up. I will concider stock Honda and use spacers, just trying to avoid that.
All my VW rims are too wide, and no luck with my VW folks

I think most Honduhs that had 15" wheels were 6" wide. The hard part is 4x100, oddly enough. Find some GSR wheels.

Can you modify the center bore of a Miata wheel?

GSR and some years of the Si. Looks like I might have to post on the Knox Car Enthusiasts.. oh happy joy. Maybe I will just buy something new.
::edit:: I really would prefer closer to 35mm offset and since Honda seem to like 45mm, Fits are 57mm , I would need spacers and they end up costing close to the price of a rim. I'm over using cheap spacer.
Might be able to enlarge the miata center bore, but by the time its done and paid for buying new or dealing with KCE bull crap looks better.

You might be able to reach Tim Ingle through the Atlanta website. He has a set of miata wheels that were bored out to fit his Civic and I bet he would sell them... Remember Tim? Black Civic Si in GS...

I thought something was wrong about GSR wheels, type R are 5 lug, the GS and LS was 4 lug.
I remember Tims name, but drawing a blank. May see what I can scare up local. Tire rack has some new rims in the ballpark offset, in the $90 range. Something says OEM is better quality tho.

I have a set of SSRs but will need to check the bore when I get home. Are you looking for something that pricey/lightweight?

If the SSRs have curb rash or cosmetically ugly, I might be. Ugly, light and cheap is what is needed.
I'm trying to find an excuse for the SSRs but so far I'm coming up empty.
If they were 16x6, I would be, but nobody makes a 16 that skinny in a 4 lug

Yup, I need to talk to a man or 2 about those Otter wheels. Is there enough meat to the metal in the center to open it up to 57.1mm VW sixe? Did you do it the hole saw way or a machine shop? I also need to talk to my machine shop metal working folks. Tempted to make a dowel the diameter of the Mazda center, bolt to the hole saw and go slow down into it.na6r wrote:Ted,

ooooh, they have 16x6, 4 hole wheels.. I hate to ask price. If you have to ask, you can't afford em.CABoegemann wrote:http://www.braid.es/wheels/products/com ... _p191.html
Found these for you and JB.
By the way, I knew a long time ago about pick and choose rim and tires to suit gearing. Mark my words, the fast guys in "call it Street so it will be cheaper" will have sets of rims for short gearing, and sets for tall gearing. Folks with money to burn, and spend on testing will still be out front. I didn't feel like posting that on JB's thread since I was already typing on here.

I can't speak for the 15's
The 14's I did; I opened up to 2.3" (58.42mm) so they'll also fit the other car. Yeah it kills the hub centric part on the CRX, but so...
They were dismounted and done on a lathe.

Re: WTB 15x6, 4x100
I can still static balance 4x100 with a rig I made up of a motorcycle wheel balancer and an old hub and brake rotor to bolt the wheel to. I don't really trust the plastic hub center adapters to support much weight. Torque the wheels in the air and the lugs should center the rim fine.

SSRs have not been used for daily driving so they're very tidy. I do have the OEM 99 Enkei wheels I would like to get rid of if you decide to bore a set.

Re: WTB 15x6, 4x100
How much for the 99 Enkei's? I think the NB's have a 40mm offset?? If they are the 5 spoke, those are the ones in question about having enough metal around the center to machine and still be safe & strong enough.Brian wrote:SSRs have not been used for daily driving so they're very tidy.
