For Sale: 2005 Rebel with extras

Post by LeadSSled »

It is time to sell my 05 Rebel 250. I will post this here and on local forums for the next 2 weeks before dealing with the crazies on Craigslist. This bike is located in Knoxville, TN.

2005 Honda Rebel CMX250
5983 miles

Extras:
National Cycle Street Shield EX Windshield ($145.00) Installed 7/2012
Willie and Max Gray Thunder Braided Slant Saddlebags ($110.00) installed Christmas 2012
Jack’s Rebel Full Engine Guard ($209.00) installed 7/2012
Battery Tender and pigtail ($35) installed 6/2012

Optional:
Corbin Gunfighter seat ($320) installed 9/2012

This is a beautiful garage-kept 2005 Honda Rebel CMX250 in as-new condition with several hundred dollars in extras. It was purchased from the previous owner in Northern GA with only 1763 miles on it on Memorial Day 2012. I purchased this Rebel for my wife as a starter bike. The battery was installed new the day that I purchased the bike and I installed a battery tender pigtail within the first week of ownership. It is always on the tender when at home and the battery should be as new. The engine guard and windshield were installed before she ever took it on the road. The Willie and Max saddle bags were a Christmas gift in 2012 and were installed shortly after the holiday. My wife put a little over 4000 trouble-free miles on this Rebel in 16 months before moving up to a larger bike. This bike was serviced less than 800 miles ago and runs perfectly, getting 75 mpg on regular gasoline. Engineer owned and maintained.

The frequently waxed black paint on the bike is perfect and the flamed tank decals are in great shape. Because these are great bikes to learn to ride on, it is hard to find a Honda Rebel that hasn’t been dropped. This one has no evidence of being down does not have the typical fuel tank “dings” that occur when a Rebel is dropped. The only visible wear that I can find on the bike is the typical boot rub marks near the foot pegs on the side of the bike. This machine is in great shape and ready to ride for many more miles.

This Rebel currently has a Corbin “Gunfighter” 2-up seat that was installed new in September 2012. This is the most comfortable seat available for the Honda Rebel and is comfy enough for all-day rides. It is a significant improvement over the stock seat. This Rebel is offered either with the stock seat only or with the Corbin saddle at additional cost.

Price: Offered at $2400 with Corbin seat or $2200 with the stock seat.

Bike located in Knoxville, TN. PM me for additional details. Bike is also being advertised locally.

Shown with stock seat (no rips or tears), but these are not the current saddlebags in this pic:

Another bump for a good bike. Cheap and easy to maintain. Light and nimble around town and is capable of longer rides too. Dana rode her 96 Rebel on the 3 high rides to the highest points in TN, NC and GA one weekend. the smallest bike to do it We stuck to the curves of the back roads where its more fun to ride.

If you think the Honda twin can't handle the Hwy, my CB250 with same basic motor took me on a Saddle Sore 1000 from Erwin TN to Memphis, back to Erwin in 17 hours, 20 minutes. Ate a piece of pizza, fueled the bike up and rode back to Knoxville. No, it wont do 90mph but it will go fast enough to get you a ticket. Trust me, I know
