Yeah. I think using a different registration for Bristol produced some different name entries.

Do SSS's wear a vest? I can't say that I've paid attention. If not, a special vest would make them more approachable and official looking.

In regions I've run before, they wear green ones.

I need a motion and board approval for say $50 and I will buy some.

Likely be lime green in a couple of sizes.

How about each one of us gets one of those awesome looking SCCA Safety Steward hats. I hate wearing vests when it's hot out.

And I don't like those hats. I wear a evaporative cooling hat. The vests I am looking at are open mesh something like our corner workers have.

Ok... some want hats... some want vests...

It's great to be back racing! Thanks to all the helped with the event. I have some questions. Last night when I looked at my times I was pretty shocked to see that I DNF on all runs. The first 2 runs I got lost on the coarse so I get those. I was sure that my last 4 runs were clean. I did report for work assignment and worked station 4 during the second heat. Can anyone shed some light on this for me please? I was driving the black VW Jetta GLI STX 3 in the first heat.

TheCowGod wrote:Thanks for the event, I had a great time. This was my first autocross since college 10 years ago, and it was fun getting back into it. Lessons learned:

1. Turns out a Miata can get around an autocross course quite a bit easier than a 3800 lb '90 Supra. Landmark discovery
2. Sunblock, even if it's a rainy day
3. It looks a lot slower from the sidelines than in the car (this particular lesson was learned by my wife, who bravely agreed to ride along for a run and then promptly regretted her decision as soon as I started :) )
Great that you had the wife in the car,I cant get mine to show up.poss still shell shocked from days and nights on the road in Frankfurt.

Nick, we talked bout this on the board forum.. and it is believed that you may have missed one particular pointer cone every run. Not 100%,but this is why once you dnf ..you need to seek another point of view .. have someone watch your entire run ..we pros do it every run.

John,

Thanks for checking on this. :( Next time I'll make sure to get a spotter.

Unfortunately I did not have a camera.

Nick, I was stationed at #2 during your runs and I believe I saw the cone you missed each run. I’m new to autocross, so instead of trying to explain, I drew and marked the cone (http://imgur.com/ARRqeO4). It was right before the second turn up in the top section. Hope this helps
