James would have had to run a 50.910 or better to have won in Berry's vette and a 51.600 or faster in Brian's vette. James very well could run those times as he is a good driver.

Bingo...

One event with one butt-kicking run and you guys are beat for the season.

WHo you kidding?? The last 2-3 events are a throw away for the whole class!

Since I've been talking EP, I had to look and would have had to run a 50.6 to beat Pilson.

Given how bad Dorsey has stomped the class, hopefully it'll get a pretty significant drop if it goes all FWD. I'll be interested to see if the car paxes better in a higher grip class versus street tires.

that's the cone I missed on my first run …. Ryan was riding with me (shared car) and as I went flying past it I said something to the effect … "I think I was supposed to be over there" … LOL and Ryan agreed … "yep, I think you just DNF'ed"

I'm watching the diet to see if that helps with the allergy stuff. Its STM Scirocco, KM kart, or bum a ride.

Oh, also busting tail to have the "big wheel" ride-able for Saturday evening. If it's done in time  anyone I co-drive with will be welcome to try the death machine. :fight:

The first 2 runs I got lost on the coarse so I get those. I was sure that my last 4 runs were clean. I did report for work assignment and worked station 4 during the second heat. Can anyone shed some light on this for me please? I was driving the black VW Jetta GLI STX 3 in the first heat.
Nick, I was stationed at #2 during your runs and I believe I saw the cone you missed each run. I’m new to autocross, so instead of trying to explain, I drew and marked the cone (http://imgur.com/ARRqeO4). It was right before the second turn up in the top section. Hope this helps

That helps a lot, thank you for the diagram. My dad was spotting for me on Sunday and he must have missed that too. 14+ years ago we both autoX ed in WV with our Plymouth Neon ACR. We were on much smaller courses and never had figure 8's or cross overs. Now that I know what to expect I will make sure to get more course walks in and draw a diagram like that. Unfortunately I won't be at the race at the divisional but I should be able to make the next one.

on my 4th run, after going around the pole and heading to the last cross over, I totally missed the pointer and DNF'd. You REALLY had to keep your eyes on things, or you could easily miss it.

Finally uploading my 'fast' run. I know JB said that this event was a throw-away event for all but Mark, but for me, I need all the events I can get in, since I missed the first 2, so I won't have many chances for drops.

Would putting that drive train into one of the older GC chassis be an option for ASP? I am not very familiar with the rule set that governs the class.

In SP, I believe the up date/ back date only works within the same line... like 02-07 cars. The older cars are a different generation and would not be legal. That would be like taking the 09 sti drivetrain and putting it in the bugeye.

That's how I see the rule, but I've never built ano
sp car...yet.

No. Street Prepared rules are archaic and don't make any sense. They preach "best of breed", but the Impreza somehow is split into 4 different classes in SP. GC's go to DSP or FSP. WRX's to ESP, STi's to ASP.

The only thing I can update/backdate is on the s197 platform which is 2005-2015 or 2014 not sure which platform the 2015 mustang falls under. I don't know much on the subie platforms.

Like Rife said...nope. The 02-07 cars are considered to be "on the same line" as you'll hear people say when talking about SP rules.

STi swap into a GC would be a hoot in SM though.

Or the 3.3 L 6 cyl. and add a turbo.
