The results for events 8 and 9 (#7 and #8 on the schedule) have been posted. Any hope for an update on the season points?

Thanks.

I suspect that Linda Cox and Lin Cox in STS are the same person. But that's a minor point for unofficial results. Besides, with Colbert at 700, the fight is for second place.

the only other classes that could EVEN change if all the stars align would be FSP & STC … unlikely … all the leader has to do is show up for the remaining races … that would make it hard for the chaser

just looking through the classes .. those were the only others that weren't totally sewed up besides XP, P, and second place in STS … and like I said, it would take the leader not showing for the rest of the season for the change to happen

Whatever we do, we need to plan on implementation after this season is over.

My current plan is this:
1 - send Vtak the log files and event files to see if he can pinpoint the crash.
2 - Uninstall axware from all machines, reinstall, and patch to the latest update
3 - start a fresh membership file and class definitions files (these can sometimes get corrupted and cause problems and if they have data conflits, it's logical that it could cause a crash during registration)
4 - Start a fresh event (we usually save the previous event as the new event, unregister everyone, and remove times. This streamline the process of manually adding people that didn't register online or forget to do so. By that I mean, if you register for event #1, your registration is still there for event #2)

Also before we switch, I'd really like to do a demo and overview of AxWare for everyone, so that more people have at least a very basic idea of how everything fits together.
I worked on 2 and 3 last night, and 4 is done. I can't really get a new membership file to generate and I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. There was about 500MB worth of windows updates to each machine (took forever), and a new axware patch. I've tested them in networked mode and nothing really seems amiss. I will need to figure out the membership file before we run official points though.

Doing some more research, my hunch is this regarding the crashes. I believe that both machines may be trying to write to the save file at the same time, causing a crash. The reason I'm thinking this is because of this post from Vitek several years ago. Although Vitek's post is in regard to auto-saving during runs, it seems to indicate that if there is simply too much going on and trying to save, it could cause a non-responsive situation. This makes some sense to me because every time I've seen registration lock up, it's been during manual entry of membership data, and during that axware is doing more than usual (please for the love of little baby kittens, register online so that we don't have to enter your data manually).

We might want to have a print-out of season points available so that folks registering on site will not take a used number of someone that is not there.
