I'm going to put on my grumpy system admin hat now.

Les, don't take this the wrong way. We are happy to have you on the forum and you have sparked some interesting conversations.

However, I don't want the forum junked up with hard to decipher, half English (not sure what the other half is) posts.... nor posts that consist solely of cryptic references to some old story that only one or two members here may know about.

If you want to talk about old times, that is awesome, just write your posts in complete, understandable English and add enough detail and background so that everyone here will know what you are talking about.

Otherwise, I'm going to have to start culling posts like the one that started this thread.

Thanks

Can I motion to create a new sub-forum. It can be labeled "Off-Topic" or "Les's Corner" That way we can keep the other sub forums clean but we won't miss out on gems like this.

For awhile I honestly thought Les was a spambot, one that catches jargon terms off the particular forum it's on. I just figured you or Harp just haven't had the time to delete the posts. Then I also noticed there weren't any sketchy links on the posts, so then I thought Bob made a new account. It all makes sense now though.

I agree with Keith, an "Off-Topic" or "Insert BS here" sub-forum might come in handy. It could clean up the solo forum, even threads like Rife's b-day thread could be put in there.

I agree with Dave.
Most of these posts I have no idea what he is talking about and I understand I have only been here a few years but a little detail would help most of us understand the story.

Sorry there boys.
Jeff, Eric, and Gary met up in Salina.
From what Gary Sawyer has to tell...they all went driving and all three cars were close and drafting. Jeff stuck his hand out his car window to signal a pass.

Thank You.
Hopefully the forum will be established...When it is...my first topic will concern Formula One.

I really don't think a new forum is necessary (unless the RE/Board wants one), as the posts I was referring to were not off-topic for the General forum. They just didn't make any sense to most of us.

Something like this is great:

Hey guys, do you remember the time Larry Hunt went through the chain link fence at Outlets Limited Mall in his Formula Vee? That was nuts!

That makes sense to most people on the forum even if they weren't there.

Something like:

Hunt, FVee at OLM, NUTS!!!

That does not make sense to most people.

This one time at ahead flank at test depth.
We missed the mail bouy and then ERLL forgot to feed the shaft seals.
It was all angles and dangles after that, followed by an emergency blow.
