Possible rallyX sight.

Post by thewelder »

At the corner of I81 and I26 just south of Kingsport. They are building a new shopping center. Just a big flat clay field right now. The good part is no stores are coming to the sight yet. It may be a good spot for years to come.

https://www.google.com/maps/place/Johns ... 5dc5?hl=enWhat does anyone think of this area? It's not flat but reminds me of the Redneck Resort site. I drove by it going to a job site earlier this week. The airport looks very inactive to me.

That's within a mile from my work. I don't know how active it is but we occasionally hear small planes on breaks. I've never paid attention to the lot so I don't have any input on that.

more planes go through there than you think. I know someone who flies up there. Not sure what field his plane is at.

If you are thinking about Mike, he flies out of Elizabethton, if I remember correctly.

This place is tiny but the field between the runway and road looked appealing to me.

the creek sucks for safety distance. The field east of Woodlyn looks interesting. Probably the business on that side of the road. ??

I was talking about where Sam's map shows. Not the one at the airport. The site is just setting there.

All this property is owned by the St. John Corp. The airport, beside the airport and across the road(wautaga rd) next to river. 301 acres total. With a bit of grooming, it would be pretty good.
