Chris...I've got no definite answers from (DeWitt and Berry) on a co-drive so.............if you want to go I could always pick up pointers from some of the more experienced drivers co-drive my car. I can't give you a ride to the event as I've got the scooter in the passenger seat.

Paul,

Thanks for the offer.

I would have to leave Kingsport at 3AM to get to Huntsville. It's a 306 mile drive for me. That's just too long a day for this late in the year. I wouldn't be going even if my car were ready.

I understand ...no way I would do it either. I just thought I'd offer...I've got to leave my house at 4am to meet up at Bimbo's 5am....see you at the banquet.

Nah, I'm probably out. I am still learning this car and need as much seat time as possible since I am not the best with RWD yet.

I've got a co-driver....your thoughts posted today MFS event.....

"This Sunday at Event 9 there are special precautions being taken with the course design. We are being very careful with safety, both for cars and karts, for one. For another, we are attempting to limit areas of sliding over painted lines. The course design will attempt to encourage straight-line braking in non-lined areas entering tight features, rather than trail-braking/power sliding momentum-maintenance techniques.

For these reasons, the flow of the course may be sub-optimal. As always, we welcome suggestions and especially please voice any safety concerns you may have. Beyond that, thou shalt not move cones without the permission of the either the event master or someone on the TAC Slalom committee.

In addition, we will have an extremely low tolerance for any hooning. If you spin, both feet in. No drifting, please. No re-entering the course in a blaze of tire smoke. Drive for time, not for show.
One pavement area that sees a lot of wear is the start. It would greatly reduce the sealer wear at the start line if the run to the timing light has some turns prior to tripping the light that does not require a tire spinning start off the line to get the max speed at the light. The start will have a kink in it. The start will be on unsealed asphalt."

"One other thing: it was mentioned to me that some may not realize that MFS is not city property. It is school property. That means firearms are illegal, concealed carry permit or not."
