Junior Kart

Post by rmattb0 »

Hello, I'm new to the group. We've been spectators at your Pellissippi events and now my 9yr old son is getting into a kart. Does etr allow Junior Karts? If so, where can i find info on rules and regulations for this class? thank you

The solo rules are here: http://www.scca.com/assets/2015-1-7_SCC ... s_book.pdf

See the rules for Formula Junior starting on page 151.

Don't forget the minor waiver which must be signed by both parents in the presence of a notary. We cannot allow a minor to compete without this form filled out completely and on file. As a general rule, we don't have notaries at events.

One of our current members also has a son with junior kart as he runs a shifter kart. Also our new RE's son also ran a junior kart for a while.Possible Mark or Scott might chime in for assistance you both might need like driving gear, type of kart best suited for use ect.

I'm Sean, I run a KM (non shifter just for fun kart) I can help a little and I know people who can help a lot if you have any questions.
Have you participated in SCCA before?
Text is best 865 458-4567 and I hope you make it out to the test and tune.
I just noticed Scott is in the thread, your in pro hands Lol
