Got a new ride.

Post by 72RatCamaro »

Seems to be a theme here lately. The forester was great and fun, but trying to be competitive in a 3500lb station wagon is a little hard to do. So went last weekend and picked up a jewel.

Needs some love but seems like it should work well for what I want to do.

Impressions so far vs forester.

Faster with 100 less hp.
Feels nimble and TINY in comparison. Alignment is FUBAR but will be sorted soon enough.

Hopefully I can get it all sorted by the next event (kinda glad the 21st event got cancelled.)

And this one doesn't spray oil!!!

That is one of my dream cars! And one of the best looking to my eyes. Congrats!

Yeah I have wanted one since I was 16, finally at a point in life to make it happen. Body is a little rough currently, but luckily I have resources to paint it this winter. Ordered a bushing kit today and going to hopefully get it driving nicely before the Chilhowee event.

Very nice car. I have driven an FD up at the dragon and at an autocross and it was stupid fun, and fast. Will you be running STM with it?

That little station wagon was making ~440whp and 400lb/ft. Had a ton done to it to get to that point.

Seriously though, that torque curve on the Subaru is really impressive. I would love to get something like that in the Miata.
