They'll likely cancel if they don't get enough entries to at least come close to breaking even and have enough course workers. Michael Teator said most people sign up at the last minute when I asked him about the low number pre-registered.

We're not canceling unless there's tornados or ball lightning shooting between the light poles.

I'm sure there will end up being 40-50 cars. Come on up guys, we can cookout at my house before you head back south.

That would be fun, but the drive for me is 3 1/2 hours. Maybe if we finish early...

Unless this place has changed, it's a good lot and plenty big enough for a good local course.

If it rains, it is like driving on ice. Lots of fun but not fast. :-)

New question, since there are only two STS cars that could be there. I have seen the Miata run in Kville with Laura at the wheel before I got mine. Now mine is not as prepped as that one.But she saw mine run last year at the Zoo while wearing an internal engine chunk around her neck.(from said miata) Can we make it sort of sporting and Co drive only one of the STS cars?( the better one)? Let me know and I'll be up there .Thanks ,Coldbeer.

The lot is about the same size as the upper lot at Pelli, but flatter. I liked the course. I was too aggressive in some of the corners, particularly the right turn before the finish, or I would have been faster. The DNF's were at the crossover because I wasn't looking far enough ahead. The car handled great with the softer front bar and stiffer rear bar, although the lot didn't have much grip. The lot also needed some Roundup or something on the weeds in the cracks and maybe a tar job to seal them. Maybe CKR could offer to help EKU with that?

Given the obvious driving errors, I estimate the car was capable of being a second or so faster.

Thanks again to the Ray's for the hospitality after the event.

Here's the course layout on Google Earth. The measured lot length and width (red lines) are 660 x 308 feet. The course and speeds are from Harry's Laptimer.
