mine is a full size aluminum ( Mishimoto) .. so thicker than OEM, but since aluminum probably lighter if it were the same size … so probably = in weight or at least very close

#16682 Aftermarket Radiator Allowance Proposal
The STAC is considering allowing alternate radiators in Street Touring, consistent with the SP rules. The committee has provided the following rule change proposal for member review and comment:
Add the following new language to section 14.10:
L. Engine cooling radiators may be replaced with alternate parts subject to the following restrictions: 1. Radiator core dimensions (width, height, thickness) must be no smaller than the standard part. 2. Radiator must mount to OE radiator mounts.
3. Fluid capacity and dry weight of the radiator must be no less than that of the standard part. Installation of an alternate radiator may serve no other purpose (e.g., to allow a cold air intake passage).

Bring your radiator, pay your fee and drive your car I think I saw a thread about farting into fuel tanks while in grid and had a comment about peanuts.

To continue the thread jacking: I know someone who lost a Showroom Stock National Championship at the Runoffs in Atlanta because he'd removed his AC, but kept the thicker radiator. He had the AC parts with him and could have put it back on before the race. But he got some bad advice from the chief of tech and didn't. That sort of thing only happens when there is a mandatory tear down, though. What he should have done was protested himself. Then he would have had an official ruling in time to fix it, or not, before qualifying.

National was being really picky about Showroom Stock back then. They later disqualified someone for putting a different cylinder head on his motor. It was the correct model head and hadn't been modified in any way, but it wasn't the head that came with the car, so the car wasn't 'as received from the factory' and he was out.

Will we have barf bags at the next event? I might get into a bad blue waffle and need one. Or a needle so I can resew the thread for my hijacked pant button.

I can take them or leave them. However, if you ever go to a Thai restaurant that has whole crispy fried flounder with garlic and chili sauce, get it. It won't be cheap, but it's worth the price.
