Test
i'm really indifferent about the forum we use, but........this looks great and i think more people are used to this style forum.
as far as saving older posts, i HAVE searched old ETR posts to find info about tire recommendations, helmets, numbers, etc. maybe we could create an "archive" of the informative posts OR create some sort of primer or FAQ post with basic info for the n00bs.

Hey David, thanks for your work on the board.
This is just a test of some of the features.
I have had trouble with inserting tables and other formated text in the old board, such as:
2004 PAX/RTP Index
2003 2004 % Δ
SS 0.837 0.836 0.1
AS 0.828 0.828 0.0
BS 0.825 0.826 -0.1
CS 0.814 0.811 0.4
DS 0.795 0.794 0.1
ES 0.804 0.804 0.0
FS 0.806 0.803 0.4
GS 0.782 0.781 0.1
That was a straight copy from Excel that looked ok on the entry form, but.... I have tried to manually replace the tabs with spaces but that has no effect!
Any way around this other than linking to an image of the data or inserting small dummy characters?
This is just a test of some of the features.
- I wonder what "list" is?
Still
wondering?

Am with Tony on this one, simple white back ground with black letters works great. Alot easier on the eyes that way, so you don't end up with from all the contrast.TonyBolton wrote:I like things nice and simple......... FLASH/SHOCKWAVE things dont really interest me. I mean its nice, but a simple white background/black letters gets the point across.
I am so good I will race you and only use one hand.
See, noone has to choose light vs dark bgcolor, phpbb supports differing skins selectable per user. I highly suggest something dark quick for some of us night-people. Similar to the last would do, just something not soo... white.
As far as graphics go, keep it simple imo. Standard buttons are cool with me. Dont need to stress me out again, after hotmail switched to their new design, I dont think my poor heart could take it.
I personally love avatar option, it gives you the ability to relate someone to a certain picture (often their car's) instead of some test. I could imagine the number of "AUTOX_ER" and such similar names you could get on a large autox site, avatars put a picture to the name so to say.
*edit*
I also suggest a 100x100 avatar limit. Keeps the page from being too wide, and as long as you have good cropping skills, can be quite detailed enough.

Yay for phpbb.
