I picked up a new car this weekend (2011 Z06) to replace the Miata. It actually still has a couple of months of factory warranty on it, and I want to get a couple things looked at. One is the potential valve guide issue (just want them to check it while the warranty is still valid) so I'm looking for a dealership that has some good engine techs.
Any pointers? Any to stay away from?
Thanks

Don't know if he reads the board, but Mike Richardson, who occasionally runs an S2000 (either STM or STR) with us is a tech at West.

I'll second Mike and West.

From what I've been told Reeder has the best Corvette tech's around many of the Knoxville Corvette Club including Mark Pilson's father who told me they are the best and all go there for service.

Nope... As a corvette club member and someone with experience.. We don't trust our (Kim's and mine) to reeder. Ask Paul Mcfall about his trips there.
Beatty has treated me well. I've but used west yet but they are close to the house now.

Beatty screwed me over on some warranty work back when the Camaro was new and I got into a screaming match with their asshole service manager - West ended up fixing their screw up.
My LS1 also had defective piston rings and was burning an obscene amount of oil and had a lot of piston slap. Beatty snowed me and ultimately refused to do the repair, West installed new rings first time I took her in.
