ETR 2017 Regional #6 Debrief

Post by disneyd »

Great event and fun (though hard to master) course!

Did anyone lose a starter? There was one in the middle of the I-40 on-ramp.

Yes. Fun coarse. Wish I had filled my car up on the way. Lesson learned. Half a tank isn't full enough. Every right gander I would run out of gas on exit.

Very challenging course. I'm very lucky I got a clean run, because I had 5 of them that weren't.

Great course for "practice". The fast parts rewarded a certain amount of patience and I just don't have that most of the time.

Also couldn't stay clean. Frustrating result but a great learning experience.

Well JR I hope ya get that fixed. It sucked out running cars not in my class today. You gonna need cutting and welding or just one of those sling gizmos? PS I saw the New blue ford focus RS getting one of them good driving awards while on the way back home today. Not sure what that's gonna cost for him OOPS.

It must not have been too bad (didn't slow him down). He caught back up and passed me afterwards and I wasn't going too slow.

Chad, I had to put a foam filled fuel cell in mine with dual pickups. With slicks I couldn't keep it fueled before doing that.

Despite not a clean run it was a very fun and fast course. Glad I got that out of the way this weekend instead of next.

Thanks again to Jeff for letting me drive the car. Just couldn't put a good run together today. The course was way fast and I had a couple of flyers but a couple of slides in the back and middle sweepers killed it. Congrats to Ariel on whooping our asses!

Great seeing everyone again. Felt good to get out and beat on the car.
The car felt great and considering I'm in old Hoosiers.. 2 year old A6 fronts and used a7 rears... The car hooked up great. Just needed to push more.
Not bad though seeing as it was only the second event this year.

Mine as sucking down gas on the way home for some reason. I made it home with an 1/8 tank.

Thanks to all of the members who out the event on and do all the hard work. I was wiped out by 8 last night and was told to go to bed at 9.

Had a great time. Love that lot.

Great weekend and a very fast course if you hit your marks going out you were rewarded and the middle section was a flyer. Huge congrats out to Aerial on the win. Looking forward to this weekend and the double national event. If you are a etr peep and going to be there and can help out please, let us know. Thanks to all that helped out making this weekend a great event. JY

A couple things to keep in mind.

- 3 digit numbers are reserved for 2 -driver cars, and limited to the 100's. (No 874's, etc.)

- Class designation must be at least 4" tall and numbers must be at least 8" tall.

- Pax designation goes BEFORE class. Not after.

I did not drive well at all. That was one of the more comical events for me in A WHILE.

My favorite part about this video is that if you look closely at the back of the blower.....you can watch my throttle inputs.
