Definitely out for the 18th. Might try to make Huntsville on the 19th.

Want to, but looking like slim chance for me. Bringing the Fiat in for service and list of warranty checks Wed morning. Along with other crap happening.

How bumpy is Huntsville now?

I don't find it too bad on 12 lb/in springs.

There is one big ol hump that's gotten worse though. I think it's either the remnant of a shaved-down speedbump or it's a large covered drain pipe. They did raise some money to fix this, but I don't think that's been done yet.

Is it the same hump that spun my CM Ford into the timing lights and also tripped up Rick Cone's Miata to hit the light pole?

Rick didn't, his codriver did. It was the same event I spun on the first run of the day into the finish lights. Rick was working grid and told me " you just need to slow down there". I guess he didn't tell that to his codriver before codriver lost it and smacked the pole.

National staff said a cone got moved and put back wrong in the slalom .. but when they "put the cone back" that one cone shortened up the course to not run over the patched pavement yump.

I thought Rick's car just went into the ditch?

This was the old STS teal one, eh?

Swipped the pole in the process. Double whammy.

We're heading to Optima DriveAutoX in STL. The format is really fun and we need the seat time!
