Number of workers needed for an event - Chiefs please read

Post by RxCritical »

As you may or not know I am the new Worker Jerk (Chief).
I am trying to get a base number of workers needed to run each event.
So I am looking for each Chief or other knowledgeable person to let me know how many people are needed to perform their area during an event/heat.

Event Chief - 1
Course--- John Brown, JY
Waivers--- Lin
Safety--- 1 each heat
Jr Kart safety--- 1 if needed
Van and trailer--- Lin
Worker Jerk---Paul M.
Course---1 corner chief and min 2 workers each corner (5 corner crews Bristol, 4 crews Smokies)
Novice--- JIm plus 1
Set up---1 to 2
Timing--- 2-3 per heat
Registration--- 4
Tech- Bob Ross plus 3 to 5
Sound --- 1
Grid --- 2 per heat
Starter---1
Announcer---1 per heat

And any other worker I may have missed.

Thanks, Paul

If it's not raining someone on the sound meter per run group. Having enough corner workers takes precedent

For our typical sized event, registration needs 4.

Timing needs a minimum of 2 per heat, 3 is preferred. I'll be training some people this year, so hopefully I'll have a larger list of people to pull from. Also, we need to come up with a list of corner captains. In the past, there have been some people who would've been better suited to a different position.

For the first couple of events I have 6 scheduled depending on the number of entrants and after that probably 4

1-2 for setup. I'm working on some things to try to make this a little quicker. Will see how it goes.

A starter for each heat and usually 5 corner captains at Bristol and 4 at a Smoky event.
