Thinking about it. I40 being closed puts a damper on it for me. If they get at least one lane open I'm more likely to.

After a series of events, looks like I'll end up in SSC in a car that we used to own.

Thanks McMark!

Y'all have fun!! I'm out. Intermittent electrical issues in the candy van so it's back in the shop. Hopefully the 24 pending codes will get em to believe it's effed up.

Randy won CAMC, Jed took 3rd, Berry took 6th and final trophy. Kevin Lindley won ES. Eric Anderson took 3rd trophy in XP and his co-driver Randall won. Several others like Jim and Jeff and Steve were just out of the trophies.

A little on the cold side, but otherwise, the event was fantastic. Best time I've had at a tour in recent memory and the best pair of courses I can remember driving. Fantastic way to create a sensation of speed without excessive top speeds. Never grabbed 3rd gear, made big mistakes without smoking a ton of cones, etc. Can't say enough good things.

+1

Had a great time. We were fighting the car on day 1 but made some adjustments and it was a lot better on day 2. Lawson obviously has something figured out that others don't and now he's learning to drive well under pressure. SSC is fun, especially trying to get the car pointed straight on corner exit....but I'm certainly looking forward to the STR car. :D

Randall's drive in the Miata was incredible to watch.

Congrats to everyone that did well!

SSC is shaping to be a really tough win. I think it says a lot that Lawson was 3rd at Dixie, Beneway has a 2nd and 5th so far, Heitkotter had to come from behind to barely win, and Andrew could only take 3rd.

Has to be the best two courses that I've run in one weekend. We learned a great deal about shock setup at test-n-tune. We got off to good start on day one. Day two much more difficult. We lost our programs in car just before walking course on day two. We rebooted the car and walked course. All I did was pray the whole time I walked course that they would take. We were afraid to shut the car off. Lucky for us they held long enough to make runs. Soon as we finished runs the program crashed again. Looking forward to getting back over there in two weeks for the Optima DriveAutoX.

Semi-related...

There is a lot of controversy related to electronic shock controllers in street and whether that technology is something that should be allowed at the lowest prep level of computer nerds and accountants driving around cones in parking lots. Guy I worked corner with switched from SS to STX for the weekend because he got on site and his shock controller shit the bed and he was left with solid rods for shocks. I lol'd, not entirely to myself.
