What is that tire treatment stuff called? Formula Vee?

...that's what came to mind, but I've only been able to turn up info on the VW bathtub racers.

Anyway, I went ahead and picked up some cheapo wheels today that came with some old Hoosiers that have a lot of tread, but are pretty hard (S04's, that'll give you a hint). Hopefully, they'll soften up a bit when they thaw out (sat outside all day today), but I figured this would be a good time to try the stuff.

Yup, that's what it is called. There are others on the market as well. Unfortunately for you, it really doesn't do much to soften old tires. It is more for keeping new tires at their best. You are supposed to treat them before and after every event.

I tried it once on some old, hard R-compound tires. They ended up being slicker than owl poo.

I can't say that I have any experiences with owl poo, but I don't think that's the end result that I'm seeking.

goto a local park and get a reference for goose poo. Should be about the same.
