I just don't want to get beat by SSC.

...and if it is going to happen anywhere, it'll be at Dixie, which is low grip and 90% transitions, and has a bunch of Florida drivers that have had like 8 events already this year.

It's ok Steve... according to the sandbox, we're all A-holes for going in the 1st place. I'm sure there's going to be a number of people that are backing out by the time we get there tomorrow.

I badly want to go and busted my butt to get ready, but with the way this thing is spreading and the number of places that are banning 250+ or 300+ person events, I'm not sure it isn't irresponsible to have it.

That's where the SCCA and the Dixie region need to be making a decision and be proactive about it vs reactive after 100+ people start making their way down there today

What about Charolette.... that's a place that is a huge population center vs Dixie.

Made the decision a little earlier that I'm out.

It is a really tough decision, but it is irresponsible for me to go and then come back and potentially expose at risk people. Can't really see anything changing (for the better) for Charlotte next week. Honestly think the SCCA needs to save us from ourselves.

I would say that the risk from an autocross is minimal compared to, say, a basketball game at an indoor stadium, a nursing home, a cruise ship or a parade in a big city. It's outside and the only time that most of the people interact closely is at the driver's meeting and trophy presentation/party. Only the driver's meeting is required attendance. Still, probably better safe than sorry. The regular flu would be much less of a problem if we took even minimal precautions during flu season.

Don't forget flags, radios, cones, vests and so on at an autocross... someone sneezes and buries their head in their arm can still contaminate a vest or radio or clipboard and so on.
We're still going. We're taking a tub of clorox wipes and putting some in zip lock bags for taking on course and probably some latex gloves for times we need to handle things.

Revised Supps are forthcoming, as a LOT of people are cancelling.

I fully expect Charolette to be cancelled at this rate but who knows. If the state government bans all gatherings above certain #s they might not have a choice.

City of Concord banned all nonessential gatherings through March.
