I agree with Ted. Just get your resume in. Even if she doesn't get a call or interview, it might lead to something down the road.

I applied for a job and heard nothing. Almost a year down the road, I was contacted and urged to apply for a different job, which is where I ultimately ended up.

Thanks. I'll see if I can get her to do that.

100% agree on the theory BTW. Just hard when it's not you and you can't make them do it...lol

I've gotten her to at least send resumes to companies that she knows even if they aren't posting a job position, because you never know when someone might just say "we need that person".

UPDATE:

Kim and I thank everyone for the help and advice on the hunt. As it would happen, a recruiter reached out to Kim from Linkedin and got her an interview with a local company. She aced the phone interview and had an in person last wednesday and was offered the job last friday. She starts this coming monday.

They make industrial control panels, access terminals and stuff like that and she'll be working on them designing them and when design is slow, they told her she can go on the production floor and learn how they are put together ( which she was super excited about ). She'll be working thru the recruiter for the first 6 months and then after that it will be a permanent position with the company itself.

Been a crazy couple weeks here but we are all breathing a little easier now. Both Corvettes sold, the camper will be officially going to a new home NEXT friday and that will be a huge stress relief.

Thanks Paul. I might actually make it to an event now lol

Might be hitting you up for a co-drive in the Fiata if you still have it by then.
