Wasn't there a turn in one of the F1 races that had to be slowed down b/c the drivers kept blacking out due to G's? It was a pretty hi-speed open turn, IIRC

thats intense cause an average human will black out a 9 lateral g's. Guys trained to resist g's can pull up to 11. Something to compare for non-engineers:
Space Shttle launch 4g
Top Fuel run: 5g continuous
Most centrifuge rides: 3g

I did a little checking
CART April 29, 2001 at Texas Motor Speedway. No one blacked out, but almost all of the drivers became dizzy after making long runs at top speed. It seems they reached a max of about 6g and in excess of 5g for 18 sec. out of a 22 sec. lap.
What WRC Coverage? In 2003 and 2004 they showed every single race. In 05' I caught about three listed with tivo. Hell, they don't even show the Rally America since SCCA dropped out.
